Theo Clarke MP and the Education Secretary during her first meeting as Parliamentary Private Secretary

I'm delighted to be joining the Department for Education as their new Parliamentary Private Secretary, and to be working with such a brilliant team led by Secretary of State Rt. Hon. Gillian Keegan MP.

I'm excited to support the delivery of the Government's biggest ever expansion of childcare for working parents.

Education has always been one of my top local priorities in Stafford. Since I was elected, I have successfully lobbied the Government for extra funding for both Stafford College and the new Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Institute of Technology. I will also continue to raise the importance of increasing SEND provision within my new role, as this is a subject which comes up regularly in my surgeries.

I'm also a huge champion of girls education internationally, and I will continue to advocate for girls everywhere to have access to high-quality education.
