Theo Clarke visits Staffordshire University

The Conservative candidate for Stafford, Theo Clarke today spoke to midwifery students at Staffordshire University about her work with the All-Party Parliamentary Group on birth trauma. Ms Clarke described her own experiences of birth trauma, before providing an overview of the Inquiry's recommendations. Ms Clarke was particularly impressed by the questions asked by students, ranging from how to involve fathers in the birthing process to queries about how NHS Trusts will be able to implement the recommendations themselves.

Theo Launches Parliamentary Petition with Louise Thompson for Maternity Commissioner

As mothers affected by birth trauma, we believe the government should appoint a Maternity Commissioner to improve maternity care for mums and babies and help restore confidence in maternity services. This is why we are launching a petition.
