Theo Clarke was delighted to have been appointed Vice Chair of the United Nations Association-UK today. In this role, Ms Clarke will continue her work on international development, building on her time as an MP. On her appointment, Ms Clarke said:
'Global challenges require global solutions and so I am delighted to join the UNA-UK board to champion multilateralism and the important role that the United Nations plays. I look forward to working with our new Chair Ian, our brilliant team and country-wide membership to strengthen our relationships both internationally and across the UK. Our organisation plays a vital role in engaging with policy makers and the public to champion the values and philosophy of the UN Charter. I will continue to advocate for the Sustainable Development Goals to be delivered, as I did actively in Parliament, to ensure peace and prosperity for people and the planet.'
