Theo Clarke appeared on the Today Programme this morning to discuss the findings of the Care Quality Commission's report into British maternity services. She stated that it was 'absolutely outrageous' that poor maternity care was not becoming the exception. Ms Clarke is calling for the Government to commit to a 'National Maternity Improvement Strategy' led by a new Maternity Commissioner who will report directly to the Prime Minister.
