Breaking the Taboo podcast

50 episodes feels like a big moment to stop and look back at everything that has happened since I
first started the podcast.

From launching the Maternity Commissioner petition and watching it reach more than 170,000
signatures, to handing it in at No.10 with Louise Thompson.

From talking about maternal health, pregnancy and birth trauma on national television and radio, to
recording a live episode and hosting workshops at every Women’s Health Festival.

From publishing Breaking the Taboo and meeting so many amazing women who want to read it, to
being included in the Top 100 Women in Westminster list for the third year running.

And what makes me proudest is knowing that my daughter has been watching it all unfold.

None of this would have happened without the incredible women, families, experts, campaigners and
listeners who have shared their stories and helped make Breaking the Taboo what it is today.

I’m so excited for Series 6, and to keep building on everything we’ve started - growing the
conversation, bringing more voices into it and continuing to build this wonderful community.
