
Theo Clarke and her soon-to-be-released book 'Breaking the Taboo' featured in The Times today. Ms Clarke discussed her pregnancy and the difficulties that parliamentary life causes for pregnant MPs. She also discussed her birth trauma in detail - highlighting that this happens far too often, and to women across society. Perhaps most surprisingly for her, Ms Clarke noted how her own constituency association de-selected her, accusing her of abandoning her constituents whilst recovering from these life-changing injuries.
The piece ends with a call for the Government to follow the example of the previous administration and commit to implementing the Inquiry's recommendations. Far too many mothers are still experiencing birth trauma, and the Government must act now.
